BY BUS - The SITA bus company runs blue, or grey and green, buses along the entire coast from Salerno to Sorrento, and also covers the mountain villages of Ravello and Scala. The bus stop signs show a small bus and/or "Fermata Sita". One sign corresponds to both sides of the road. Up-to-date bus timetables can be found in bars, tobacconists and most hotel
receptions, as well as tourist offices (also known as "Pro Loco"). Please find an extract of timetables in Sita section.
Please note that buses can become very crowded with standing only at times.
BY BOAT - The two main ports along the coast are Amalfi and Positano, (from Easter to mid-October) but boats also stop at Maiori and Minori (usually high-season only). Boat tickets can be bought at the ticket kiosks along the piers. Here you will also find up-to-date ferry timetables. Boats go to Capri, Ischia, Sorrento and Salerno and run daily. Boats will not run if the sea is rough. At the beginning and end of the season the boat services become very limited, and timetables are subjet to change without prior notice.lease find an extract of timetables in Boats section.
BY TAXI - Taxis can be found in all the towns along the coast and are usually white. If you need to use a taxi, make sure you know what the fare is going to be before you begin your journey.
Sita is the public bus company operating on the Amalfi Coast. Unico Costiera tickets 24h and 3days allow to use all the bused operating on the Amalfi Coast + 1 one way route on the city sightseng bus on the route Ravello-Amalfi or Maiori-Amalfi.
